Eleven competitors arrived at the lake to greet a nice Force 2 North Westerly (This would however fluctuate during the day), occasionally sunny and getting warmer.
The course was set at Start between 5-6, up to 2 to port, then across to 1 Port as as spreader mark, then a run down to T Port, and a finish between 4 and the flag on the shore. This was later changed to finish between 4 and 5, and adding a second lap.
The winds were cyclic and kept dropping down to F -0, so we had quite a few coffee breaks whilst we awaited the wind to decide what to do.
We managed 12 races, with only a couple being drifters at points. We did have one race with a beat from the start up to the windward leg, and a beat back down the lake. Racing was close and with the fickle winds being out in front meant nothing until the finish.
It was great to see both Angela and Geoff out on the water today, and we hope to see them more often. A great day was enjoyed on the water today, with minimal incidents and all penalties carried out when required with minimal fuss. Top 3 positions were Buzz, followed closely by Chris, then a bit further behind Paul. Thanks to all taking part for a great day. (Paul)
