As discussed during the AGM in December, the need for filling the Class Captain positions is important to ensure all the classes have representation on the Sailing Committee, allowing the sailing/racing you the membership want. To this end Jim La Roche has been co-opted as the IOM Class Captain, allowing Terry to concentrate on the DF65 and RG65 class’s. Terry will also deputise for Jim when required.

IOM Class Rules Compliance
The International One Meter (IOM) Class is governed by a set of ‘Class Rules’ which can be found in the Class website. These rules define what your yacht must conform to when racing.
Each yacht must be issued with a Certificate after measurement, confirming compliance at that date.
It Is the Responsibility of the owner and skipper to ensure the yacht is fully compliant with the class rules, special attention should be paid to ‘PART II – REQUIREMENTS AND LIMITATIONS’ page 7 of the IOM class rules.
Yachts taking part in racing at the club are expected to conform to the class rules. Yachts may be checked at any time! The Club is fortunate to have one of the leading Class measurers, any questions etc. should however firstly go through the Club Class Captain
